If the air is too dry, the delicate primordia (baby mushrooms) will desiccate and die, drastically reducing yields . Conversely, if the humidity is too high or if water droplets form directly on the mushrooms, it can lead to bacterial blotch, fungal contamination, and rotting . This is where the precision of ultrasonic technology offers a significant advantage.

How Ultrasonic Technology Works

Ultrasonic humidifiers operate on a simple yet elegant principle. They use a metal diaphragm vibrating at an ultrasonic frequency (typically 1.7 MHz) to create microscopic cavitation in water . This high-frequency vibration mechanically fractures the water into an extremely fine, cool mist of droplets measuring just 1 to 5 micrometers in diameter . A small fan then disperses this mist into the growing area, where it instantly evaporates, raising the relative humidity with remarkable efficiency.
